So It Turns Out That Wisconsin Towns Drink A Lot
A recent study has revealed that Wisconsin cities excessively drink more than any other state, and it's not even close.
24/7 Wall Street an USA Today published a piece that went through and identified which cities in America were the drunkest and driest. I would say that when you have the top 4 drunkest cities in America and 7 out of the top 10 cities that you can claim the crown of drunkest state pretty easily.
The CDC defines excessive drinking as 4 or more drinkings within 2-3 hours for woman and 5 or more drinks in that time span for men. It also includes 8 or more drinks for woman and 15 or more drinks a week for men.
Another takeaway from this information is that the entire top-10 cities consist of cities in the Midwest. That's no coincidence. Cold weather makes people want to drink. It's easy on a Friday night when it's cold and snowing out to not want to do anything and just have a couple drinks at home. No one wants to go outside in that.
