The Hollywood-themed family theme park would include a mini indoor amusement park filled with experiences based on Sony’s movie characters and themes.

The theme park will be built in Albertville, MN. A Minnesota development group and Sony Pictures Consumer Products are teaming up to build this family destination. Some movie themes are rumored to be 'Smurfs' and 'Men in Black'. It will also include a Marriott hotel with a large indoor water park. The project is estimated to cost $115 million, but will create 2,000 jobs in Minnesota.

The project is scheduled to start building this summer and will hopefully be open by the end of 2017. In total, the development would be 300,000 square feet on 18 acres of land just off Interstate 94 between the Twin Cities and St. Cloud.

I am all for this, I love movies and theme parks, so what's better than having a movie theme park?! You can read the full story here and let me know what you think of this new theme park coming to Minnesota in the comments below.
