Summit Brewing had such great success having the public name last years State Fair beer, that they are doing it again with Craft the Name 2.0.

Last year they got over 500 suggestions in one week and picked Lazy Sipper as the winner, this year they're hoping for even more entries.

Summit says,"the 2018 state fair (beer) will be a light, refreshing one meant for hot, sweaty days at the Great Minnesota Get-Together — and we think a Helles-style lager will fit the bill perfectly. Our recipe, though not final, will include Scarlett malting barley, experimental hop TRI2303 from YCH, and a touch of fresh blood orange."

To enter a suggestion send your full name, phone number, address, and your proposed name for the beer to contests@summitbrewing.com between May 14 and May 20. They ask that you research that the name isn't currently in use by another brewery, they suggest you do this by searching for the name at Ratebeer.com, BeerAdvocate.com or Untappd.

The winning name will get to join Head Brewer Damian McConn at Summit Brewing in St. Paul and get to help him brew the beer and be invited back to be the first to try the new beer. The public will get to taste the beer for the first time when the fair opens on August 23rd.
