Superior Street Sidewalk Construction May Cause Lane Closures

The final piece of phase I of the Superior Street Reconstruction Project is completing the sidewalk. This work will begin on May 8th, and will impact the stretch of Superior Street from Mesaba Avenue to 6th Ave West.

No businesses will be impacted because of this part of the project, but certain lane closures will be necessary during this time. The City of Duluth says that the section or Superior Street will remain open during the project, which is expected to last 2 weeks.

If you've been in Downtown Duluth recently, there is another big construction project on the east end of Superior Street, going from Lake Avenue all the way to London RD. Plan alternate routes if you are downtown for the short term.
