By now most people have seen the aerial view of the San Diego Big Boom fireworks display mishap on the 4th of July. But I bet you haven't seen this close up view of the 7,000 fireworks shells firing within 30 seconds.

While the rest of us were enjoying a lengthy 4th of July fireworks show last night, San Diego residents got completely robbed when their display went off all at once in a spectacular explosion that lasted a mere 15 seconds.

I would recommend not trying any of these insane stunts at home during the 4th of July, but if you decide not to heed my advice, please make sure you're capturing video of the explosive event at  least! From a world record to a neighborhood record, these pyromaniacs firmly believe in "going big or going home"!

Well it looks like we'll have to wait to buy these explosive fireworks, because Minnesota Governor and babysitter Mark Dayton vetoed a new law that would expand the kinds of fireworks sold in the state to include aerial fireworks vs. the lame sparklers and fountains currently available. Citing safety as his primary deciding factor, Dayton said in a letter about the veto "government's foremost

The state of Minnesota is on the verge of expanding the variety of fireworks you'll be able to purchase in the state.  For years Minnesotans had to travel long and far to even get a firecracker or sparkler to celebrate the 4th of July, then along came the former pro-wrestler Governor who managed to expand the laws to allow lame "non aerial" fireworks...

At the Arab Museum of Modern Art in Qatar, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang used microchip-controlled explosives to make amazing patterns in the sky. It’s the coolest (and only) example of daytime fireworks we’ve ever seen.
