The Celebrate The Night Sky Event is September 17th-23rd

Star parties and sidewalk astronomy will be held around the area kicking off Sunday September 17th at Clyde Iron Works with filmmaker Harun Mehmendinovic featuring a  stunning night sky phenomena, from the Blue Ridge mountains to the deserts of California.

Other events during the week :

• Valentini’s Monday night the 18th, there will be Jazz and telescopes.
• Sidewalk Astronomy is scheduled at Fitger’s courtyard Wednesday 20th following Paul Bogard’s reading in the Fitger’s Auditorium.
• Friday the 22nd in Two Harbors, Cedar Coffee Company will host a Star Party with telescopes and local music favorites Bill and Kate Isles.
• Plus UMD’s Alworth Planetarium will also have special programming during the week.
