The Duluth Fire department along with local 101 will be out again with the fire trucks idle on street corners and in front or near local fire stations with their fire boots collecting money for MDA ( Muscular Dystrophy Association) and the local families affected by it.

The collection dates are July 29, 30 and 31 from 3pm to 6pm at various locations:

  • Central Entrance and Arlington Avenue
  • Woodland Avenue and Arrowhead Road
  • Lake Avenue and Railroad Street
  • 40th Avenue West and Grand Avenue
  • Duluth Fire Station 6 in Lakeside
  • Duluth Fire Station 10 in Gary

The Fire Department raises over $40,000 each year with this campaign including collections during the Christmas City of the North Parade. "Over 70% of the contributions go back into research, medicines, equipment, family support and once a year the kids get to go to Camp Courage, a camp that is 100% wheel chair accessible with one on one counselors. This is a time where the kids get to be as normal as the kid next to them."

Please make sure to donate what you can on any of those days and let's topple the past amounts of money raised! Thanks in advance for your support!
