The daily ritual of lather-rinse-repeat is starting to decline in Minnesota as Minnesotans are taking a "no poo" approach to hair care.

Granted I don't shower every single day, but I don't know if I could just stop using shampoo. Reasons for joining the "no poo" movement ranges from concern about chemical ingredients making hair greasy and oil buildup to having a desire to reduce the use of plastic containers and  ro even those wanting to save money on hair care.

The 'No Poo Method' recommends using baking soda, apple cider vinegar and water as an alternative and apparently it helps with dandruff too. Emily Charais, a photographer in Minneapolis hasn't washed her hair in three years because she is allergic to some ingredients in traditional shampoo. She too used apple cider vinegar.

While I'm sure there are some pretty crazy ingredients found in shampoos, I'll continue to use it until something bad happens.
