Does your baby have what it takes to be the face of the next Gerber baby?

Gerber's brand is looking for a new baby to represent the Gerber Baby Brand.  In 1928, Gerber held it's first contest looking for the baby to be the baby on the cover of their goods. Dorothy Hope Smith sent in a charcoal sketch of a baby named Ann Turner. The sketch won over the judges and that baby's face captured by a drawing represented Gerber for almost a century.

Skip forward to 2010, the company held another contest, this time they were asking for a photo contest, with the winning baby being the brand face for a year. For the 10th anniversary, Gerber has updated the rules with the times. Instead of just photos, you can now also submit videos of your baby. Only one child per family can enter (unless you are a parent of multiples). One photo is accepted per submission, along with a video one minute or less in length. The prize is your baby is on the cover in a promotional campaign, and you get a check for $25,000.

Check the complete contest rules to increase your chances of winning. For instance, any professional photos, collages and family photos entered will be disqualified.

According to the Gerber Website, Submissions will be judged on the following criteria:

  • The child’s visual appeal in the photo or video;
  • The child’s expressiveness in the photo, and
  • Consistency with Gerber’s heritage and its “Anything for Baby” mission
