The Sound Minnesotans Make Instead Of Saying 'Excuse Me'

Over the Holidays, I had a realization that Minnesotans have a certain sound they make instead of just saying "excuse me".

Have you ever noticed you or some around saying "ope" instead of opps or excuse me? I just find it so fascinating like it's engraved in Minnesotans DNA to say "ope". Now that my cousin from Georgia made me realize it, I can't stop noticing it wherever I go. I also wonder if other parts of the country of a certain sound they make instead of saying "excuse me" or if it's just a Minnesota thing?
