UFC Is Coming To The Target Center In Minneapolis
The popular mix martial arts promotion, UFC is returning to Minneapolis for the first time in 7 years. Ultimate Fighting Championship will be at the Target Center this summer.
The fights will be held on Saturday June 29th, 2019. The fight card hasn't been announced yet. The last time UFC was at the target center was in 2012 with the main event will being a heavyweight with Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva knocking out between undefeated Travis "Hapa" Browne in the first round. The co-main event sounds just as explosive with a welterweight showdown between Jake "The Juggernaut" Ellenberger winning by unanimous decision over Jay "The Thoroughbred" Hieron.
Minnesota's own Jacob "Christmas" Volkmann forced a tap out with a rear naked chock over Shane Roller. Volkman also owns a chiropractic clinic in White Bear Lake, so it probably felt pretty great competing in front of his hometown fans. Another Minnesota boy Marcus "The Prospect" LeVesseur from Minneapolis was also on the fight card. You can see all the results from the fight here.
Tickets are not available yet, but we will update as more information rolls in with what should be a great night at Target Center!
