Usher has responded to the $20 million lawsuit filed by a Georgia woman who has claimed he gave her genital herpes in April. The superstar has filed documents stating the woman has no proof he infected her.

According to TMZ, legal docs filed by the singer point out that the woman's lawsuit doesn't specify whether she had been tested prior to their alleged encounter: "A previous sexual partner very well may have already infected her." The star also notes that she could have been infected after any alleged encounter with him.

The documents also state that the woman knowingly accepted risks by having "casual, unprotected sexual intercourse and/or oral sex."

The documents are asking that the judge throw out her lawsuit.

The controversy led to other lawsuits being filed against the singer, with ultimately two women and one woman claiming to have been exposed to herpes by Usher. Two weeks ago, it was reported that Usher refuses to settle the case out of court. Sources said the singer has no intention of paying off the accuser to quiet the noise or to get rid of the embarrassment.

Quantasia Sharpton, the first accuser, spoke about the accusations during a press conference last month.

Sharpton revealed how she first met Usher, saying she attended a concert of his for her 19th birthday when a security guard of the singer allegedly said he was “interested” in her and asked for her phone number. Later that night, Sharpton said she received a call from a “blocked number” which was Usher’s, who asked her which hotel and room number she where she was staying.

“About an hour later, he arrived. We spoke for a while, and then we engaged in sexual contact. He never warned me about any STDs,” Sharpton said.
