Sad news for fans of Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works: both retailers are closing select stores nationwide.

According to USA Today, Victoria's Secret plans on closing 250 locations across the country and Canada. Bath & Body Works plans to close 50 stores.

A press release from L Brands, the parent company of both retailers, was issued Wednesday (May 20th). It states that a good portion of their stores have been closed since March 17th due to COVID-19. Their press release also shows a big loss in profit from the year prior, hence the closures.

As of now, L Brands has not mentioned which stores they will be closing across the country. There is a Victoria's Secret and a Bath & Body Works store in Duluth at the Miller Hill Mall.

There is no word on if either of these locations will be impacted by the store closures. However, the Bath & Body Works location at Miller Hill Mall is still listed on their website. Victoria's Secret does list the Miller Hill Mall location on their website.

CNBC reports the company plans to shut down more locations in 2021 and 2022 but did not give more detail or specific locations.

A few days prior, Pier 1 announced that they would be closing all of their locations countrywide, including the one in Duluth. The Pier 1 in Duluth was located in the Stone Ridge Shopping Center near Cub Foods.

We will keep you updated on if Duluth's locations are impacted as we learn more. For now, Miller Hill Mall is open again with enhanced safety and cleaning measures.
