The UMD Bulldogs took on the UND Fighting Hawks for the FCHC Frozen Faceoff Championship over the weekend and you can relive the moment a northlander leveled the goaltender.

Bulldogs came up on top with a 4-3 victory in the final minute of the game. Before we talk about how amazing the Bulldogs are, let's relive that big hit moment from the first period.

About halfway through the first period of the game, Bulldog's defense-man and Hermantown graduate
Neal Pionk leveled UND's goalie. Cam Johnson had no idea what was coming his way. The hit did not fly with the Fighting Hawks and a couple small fights tried to break out. Pionk received a five-minute major penalty for the hit.

Congrats to the Bulldogs as it was a hard fought battle. It was the first ever NCHC Tournament Title for UMD and our city couldn't be happier! Check out the beautiful game winning goal below.
