The City of Duluth has issued a water conservation notice for the Kenwood and Woodland neighborhoods. Crews are currently working to repair a water main break which required shutting off the Arlington pump station, the main feeder into these areas. Some residents and businesses are experiencing a water outage due to this shut off. The repair time for the water main break is unknown. City staff are working to restore water to those businesses and residents currently without water by accessing an alternate pump station.

Accessing water from a secondary pump will take some time. Therefore, those living in Kenwood and Woodland who still have running water are requested to conserve water and not use appliances that require significant amounts of water.

Water service is expected to be fully restored by early evening. If anyone experiences cloudy water when running the tap, the City recommends running cold water for several minutes to clear the pipes.
