If you're a fan of the band Weezer, you're in luck! The group is launching a new tour this year that includes a stop in Minnesota.

The new tour, called "The Gathering", is a 32-city North American tour that kicks off this fall. It was announced just ahead of the release of some new music from the group.

The band will be releasing a song the week of April 1, which they insist is not an April Fool's joke. The new song is called "Shine Again", which is part of a new album that hasn't yet been named, and there's no announced release date for it quite yet.

While there are some unknowns about the new Weezer album, we do know when and where you'll be able to see Weezer this year in Minnesota.

The Twin Cities will be the 8th stop on their tour, which starts at the beginning of September in California. Their Minnesota stop is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, MN. (Yes, that's what used to be called Xcel Energy Center, if you don't remember the name change yet).

Joining Weezer on this tour will be The Shins and Silversun Pickups.

If you're looking to score tickets to this September tour date in Minnesota, there are a couple of presales in the coming days ahead of tickets going on sale to the general public at 10 am on Friday, April 3, on Weezer's website.

This will be the third year in a row Weezer has visited Minnesota, including an appearance at last year's Yacht Club Festival in the Twin Cities and a fall 2024 show at Xcel Energy Center to mark the 30th anniversary of their "Blue Album".
