Western Duluth Little League Now Has Equipment to Monitor Concussions [VIDEO]
Every parent who has a child participate in sports always has some sense of fear in the back of their mind that he/she might become injured, now for some parents they have a guideline.
According to WDIO thanks to a grant from Essentia Health the Western Duluth Little League now has the equipment to monitor if a child should be sent to the hospital for further testing fro a concussion. Coaches will be using the King-Devick test, which you can use on an I-Pad. It does not diagnose a concussion, but will alert coaches and parents if that child needs further care.
Hopefully more sports organizations will be able to use this in the future to prevent kids and athletes from compromising their health by using this important indicator to get help.
