Wood Tick Races in Loretta Wisconsin is Kind of a Big Deal [VIDEO]

For some people in this small Unincorporated town, every Memorial Day Weekend is the Annual Wood Tick races event. They have taken a 2 year break due to the fact the bar that hosted it closed down, but it was back this past weekend

For some lucky Loretta residents they do not even have to go out and find the ticks, you can buy them for 1$ and entry fee is !$. I guess this must seem like a fun thing to do in a small town, but I would pass since I am terrified of them. It can get pretty competitive though and this years winner got a whopping $24!
