After announcing he has a new mixtape on the way, YoungBoy Never Broke Again is back with a new video for his song, "Solar Eclipse."

The visuals kick off with YoungBoy spending time with his children as he sings to his sons. "As I ride on the city lights/I wonder who gon' ride for me if it go down/And I start to get this feeling like/Who gone be there for my sons the day that I'm not around?" the rapper croons.

The video then switches to footage of YoungBoy performing on stage while he reflects on where his career is today. "Back in the days I swear I ain't have a thing baby/Since I got money I swear it ain't been the same baby/Got money in my pocket, diamonds in my chain, baby/Won't ever hurt again, I made it through the rain, baby," he raps.

YoungBoy previously announced his next mixtape, Ahlan, would drop on Dec. 24 but according to the "Solar Eclipse" video, the project is now scheduled to release on Jan. 1, 2018. The mixtape will follow the rapper's 2017 releases of Mind of a Menace 3 Reloaded, AI YoungBoy and Ain't Too Long.

XXL caught up with YoungBoy in 2016, where he discussed switching up his style early in his career. "[As I progressed] I wanted to try new things," he said. "I wanted to try a different way of making music. That’s what made me try different things with my voice. I always got someone around me to tell me if it’s good or not."
