
2012 Summer Olympics Setting Records–In Viewership
The ratings for the Olympics so far are up and setting records.
The Opening Ceremony coverage on Friday on NBC drew an average of 40.7 million viewers-- up 7% from Beijing and the highest-rated opener for an Olympics held outside the US.
And Saturday's prime time rating was up 8% from Beijing… it was the highest overnight ever for the first night of competition in a Summer Games held outside the US.
