SuperAmerica gas stations are now called Speedway when the company was taken over in May. It has taken a while for the signage change but is now all over the Twin Ports and throughout the state.

The very first SuperAmerica opened in 1960, at 7th and Wall Streets in downtown St. Paul and has been a popular site throughout the state ever since. According to Bringmethenews the gas station and convenience store chain, employs around 2,000 workers across 285 stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Dakotas, were all purchased by Marathon Petroleum – which owns the Speedway chain.

As you may have noticed already your SA points card does not work anymore but you can have whatever points you have accumulated transferred to your new Speedy Rewards Card. And if you have a Super America Gift Card you can call 800-428-4016 to ask for a refund.

Thankfully for Super America Employees they were able to keep their jobs which makes the transition a positive one.
