If you're anything like me, nearly every time I fill up my vehicle's tank I cringe a little. It's one of those necessary evils for getting to work or the various destinations you need (or want) to arrive at.

Unlike many things you might buy on a regular basis, gas prices are an especially volatile rollercoaster. While there are some general trends you can follow, sometimes the price will go up or down several cents from one day to the next.

To help make things at least slightly easier the next time you're at the gas pump in Minnesota, I put together a list of ways you can save when you fill up your tank.

For the sake of this list, one thing I'm going to skip is gas station credit cards. Nearly every major gas station chain has a credit card with discounts available when you fill up using the card. While those can be a great way to save for some, I want to offer a list of options that don't require signing up for a credit card or some other charge card like it.
