Academy Award Winning Composer Bringing Tour to Minnesota

You may or may not know his name, but there is absolutely no doubt that you know his music, and you'll get a chance to hear some iconic soundtracks when his tour stops in Minnesota.

His library of scores from some of the biggest movies of all time is iconic, 'Gladiator', 'Pirates of the Caribbean', 'The Dark Knight', 'Interstellar', 'The Lion King', and many, many more are all works of the legendary composer Hans Zimmer.

The composer is currently touring around the world with his 'Hans Zimmer Live' show, and he is bringing his 18-peice live band and full orchestra to the Target Center on Saturday, September 21st.

The tour has been making its way around Europe and other parts of the world, selling out shows, now he's set to do a run of 17 shows in North America, making stops in New York, Boston, Chicago, LA, Vegas, Denver, and of course Minneapolis.

Tickets for the Target Center show go on sale starting with a TikTok presale starting on Wednesday, March 20th at 10 AM, a venue presale on Thursday, March 21st at 10 AM, and general sale tickets are available starting at 10 AM on Friday, March 22nd. Ticket prices range from $59.50 - $164.50 and will be available through AXS.com.

Zimmer told the Associated Press, “I come from rock and roll and I believe in putting on a show.” And from what I've seen from videos of prior shows on this tour, he's not lying. The show is obviously filled with tons of recognizable music from some amazing films, but it also has some stunning visuals and effects to go along with the music. Zimmer did special arrangements of some of his most popular works for this show that can be heard on a live album he released last year of this show.

If you're a fan of soundtracks, this is a must-see show. Zimmer is a legend, and in my opinion, ranks only behind the iconic John Williams as one of the most influential film composers of all time.
