
Rap Icon Bringing New Tour To Minneapolis This Summer
If you’re still looking for that perfect summer concert, the Target Center in Minneapolis just dropped an announcement that has fans in an "Uproar".
This hip hop icon has a rough history with fans in Minnesota. He has notoriously canceled several shows in the past, including one in 2017 at the Target Center, where fans were already in their seats when the show was canceled due to flight issues.

But he made a return in 2023 at The Fillmore in Minneapolis, which might ease concerns about cancellations this time around.

Tha Carter VI Tour Coming to the Target Center
Lil Wayne is hitting the road with a new album in his influential Tha Carter series. The Tha Carter VI Tour will stop in Minneapolis on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, with special guests Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington.
The show promises a packed setlist of hits from all the Tha Carter albums, including fan favorites like “A Milli,” “Lollipop,” and “Mrs. Officer.”

Lil Wayne drops Tha Carter VI on Friday, June 6, the same day the tour kicks off with a headlining show at Madison Square Garden in New York City — the first of 34 shows.
Tickets for the Target Center show go on presale starting today, with multiple presale code options. General ticket sales open to the public on Friday, June 6 at 10 AM. There are also some VIP packages available that include some extras like exclusive merch, VIP host and other perks.
