Adam Thielen And His Wife Donated 1,000 Turkeys To Help Families In Need
Adam Thielen and his wife Caitlin partnered up with the Jennie-O Turkey store and Thielen Foundation to provide 1,000 turkeys to families in need this holiday season. The donations were being distributed through The Salvation Army which serve people throughout the state of Minnesota. According to food experts these 1,000 turkeys will likely make around 10,000 meals total.
Adam and Caitlin Thielen, along with their sons, Asher and Hudson, were on hand today to distribute the Jennie-O®turkeys to families. Adam Thielen said " With Jennie-O based right here in Minnesota and the fact that Caitlin and I were born in Minnesota, it’s especially wonderful to see us all come together to give back to the communities that have given us so much over the years."
Steve Lykken, president of Jennie-O and it's parent company Hormel Foods said " Thanksgiving is a time when we naturally think of those who need a helping hand, but our work doesn’t end with the holidays,” he said. “As a food company, it’s our privilege to play a part in feeding the world, including those who are unable to purchase our products."
With so much negative news tied to so many NFL athletes it is really refreshing to see an athlete not only be a good example and role model but to see that he involves his family to give back to the community as well, we are Minnesota proud of Adam and his wife.
