Anyone that has ever played a poker game for money knows that things can get tense from time to time, but one Vikings' legend recently took things a little too far.

The incident happened at JokerStars, a social club in Houston, Texas, on May 27th, when an altercation between the Vikings' great and another player broke out over a dispute about a hand.

A Poker Game Turns Ugly for Vikings Legend

The incident, which started between ex-Vikings' star running back Adrian Peterson and what he calls a "buddy," was caught on camera. In the video, you can see the two men square up and start trying to land punches at each other.

They were pulled apart, but not before both landed some punches, resulting in visible bloody wounds on both individuals after the fight. Peterson, in true Peterson fashion, claims that it wasn't a punch that caused his injuries; instead, he states it occurred when he fell and hit a chair.

Aftermath and Prior Troubles in Minnesota

Peterson told TMZ Sports that alcohol was being consumed, but he insisted it wasn't the reason things turned violent. Peterson says that he and the other guy are "cool" now and that he feels "really bad" about the incident.

Cops were not called, and it seems that all is well. However, Peterson can't seem to keep himself out of trouble. It wasn't too long ago that Peterson was arrested in Minnesota after an appearance at the Minnesota Vikings Draft Party.

2025 Grandma's Marathon & Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon Photos

After strong thunderstorms overnight, this year's races started a half hour later than originally scheduled. While some clouds and fog kept things relatively cool early in the races, humidity and warmer temperatures quickly took hold with the full marathon underway.

Despite that, history was made with the first American winning Grandma's Marathon since 2009. He is also the first person to have ever won both Garry Bjorklnd Half Marathon (which he did in 2023) and Grandma's Marathon this year.

The Largest Minnesota Wildfires In Modern History

While Minnesota has experienced even larger, more devastating fires like the 350,00-acre Hinckley Fire in 1884 of the 250,000-acre Cloquet-Moose Lake Fire in 1918, fires have thankfully been relatively smaller in more modern times.

Even though these more modern fires have been smaller, largely due to better firefighting capabilities, many have still been devastating and destructive. Here's a look at Minnesota's largest wildfires since 2007 based on information from the Minnesota Incident Command System.
