The kickoff to the 2026 Minnesota Vikings season already has a lot to look forward to.

The Vikings will host the Packers at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday, September 13, at 3:25 pm. That huge border-battle rivalry game will also be the regular-season debut of new Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray.

If that wasn't enough, there will also be a free concert by a country hitmaker before the game!

Yesterday morning, the Vikings shared that country star Cole Swindell will be the performer for the team's Kickoff Concert before the game.

If you don't know a ton about Cole Swindell, he's made quite a name for himself in the country music world both as a songwriter and as a singer, with Grammy, CMA, ACM, and CMT Music Award nominations.

With chart-topping hits like "You Should Be Here", "She Had Me at Heads Carolina", and his debut single "Chillin' It", it should be a really fun show before the Vikings game. Even better, did I mention it's free?

The Vikings Kickoff Concert with Cole Swindell will be next to US Bank Stadium in The Commons, the park space just west of the stadium.

Gates for the show will open at 10:30 am, with music starting at 1 pm, ahead of the 3:25 pm kickoff of the Vikings-Packers game inside the stadium.

What a great way to pregame for the game, right?! As always, there will be lots of things to see and do outside of the stadium ahead of the game, but the concert just adds another element to getting excited for the big game to kick off the season.
