The locally owned and operated café, bakery, small grocery store, and breakfast spot located in Canal Park is set to close its doors.

Amazing Grace has been located in the DeWitt-Seitz building in Canal Park for about 27 years. While growing up on Park Point, I would always beg my parents to go get a snack at the café. Then as an adult, I would enjoy getting a snack and checking out open mic night at the café.

According to WDIO, owner Connor Riley released the following statement:

The Grace is a family-owned business with deep roots in Duluth. Unfortunately, the pandemic and its aftermath have made closing the right decision.

The café served breakfast on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 am-noon. They would often hold fun events and were always so welcoming. You could even do some shopping in their "Chef's Pantry".

The shop opened up when I was just a little ginger nugget back in 1995. It was always a place for locals and tourists, especially during "tourist season". From breakfast food, to the amazing bread from the bakery, to the fun live entertainment, the café will definitely be missed.

Amazing Grace will host their final concert on Saturday, February 25th. They also host a final Open Mic Night on Sunday, February 25th, that they are dubbing "The Last Hurrah".
