Bald Eagle Hit By Semi Up North Shore, Recovering With Wildwoods Rehab

Here's a quick shout out to the work that Wildwoods Rehabilitation does for our animals in the area. This bald eagle was struck by a semi up near Tettegouche. It was picking at a deer carcass on the side of the road when it was hit. Luckily a good Samaritan (Jessica) brought the bird to Wildwoods for them to take care of him.

He had a broken leg and a spine injury, and they are now going to transfer him to the Raptor center for treatment. They also offer some tips on protecting these wild life in their Facebook post:
