Barron County Sheriff Looking for 2,000 Volunteers for Closs Search

The Barron County Sheriff's Department has put out an urgent call for 2,000 volunteers to conduct searches related to the disappearance of 13-year-old Jayme Closs.

The volunteers are requested for tomorrow, Tuesday, October 23, volunteers are asked to meet at the staging area located at 1883 Hwy 25 in Barron. All volunteers must be checked in by 9 AM.

All volunteer searchers must be 18 years or older and present a picture form of identification. Volunteers must be able to walk on uneven terrain. Proper footwear (boots required) and cold weather clothing are required and may become dirty or stained.
