Everyone knows work can be hectic, especially if you are stuck in an office all day. Break away from your desk or company break room and head outside. This week I went to Brighton Beach in Duluth on the shores of Lake Superior. Mother Nature has done me a huge favor by giving me another beautiful day to get outside and grab a quick bite to eat.

Before I headed to the beach I made a quick stop at the Hillside location of Whole Foods Co-Op. Faith and her staff in the deli are always working hard to prepare the freshest, tastiest food around so you can feel good about what you are eating and blast through the rest of your day. This week I had a delicious Cilantro Lime chicken burrito with rice, cheese and black beans along with 100% natural lemonade.

I needed a hearty lunch to try an attempt to skip some rocks at Brighton Beach, one of my favorite things to do, but I am awfully rusty. Brighton Beach is also a great place to look for agates and is dog friendly. It is not the best swimming beach due to the steep slopes into the water and rocks hidden under the waterline, but they have benches, picnic tables or you can sit on the big rock formations on the shore and look out at the lake and to the right is the lift bridge.

Thanks again to Whole Foods Co-Op for the delicious meal, check out both locations at Hillside: 610 East 4th Street and Denfeld: 4426 Grand Avenue in Duluth. And remember, if it's a nice day outside take your lunch to go and head outside for a break!
