I reported earlier this week that the Build-a-Bear Workshop at the Miller Hill Mall was doing a "Pay Your Age" promotion on all the bears in store, today was the day and a large crowd formed early to try and get the deal.

I arrived at the mall with my two kids just before 10 am and the line was already almost 2 hours long. The line snaked around the Old Navy, Dick's Sporting Goods and DSW back towards Barnes and Noble and onto the Build-a-Bear store.

Shortly after 10am, this morning Build-a-Bear issued the following statement, "we cannot accept additional Guests at our locations due to crowds and safety concerns. We have closed lines in our U.S. and Canada stores. We understand some Guests are disappointed and we will reach out directly as soon as possible."

I did not stick around and I saw dozens of other people doing the same thing, but hundreds of people were still in line when I left and I've heard they were handing out coupons for a future visit at other stores across the country. Did you go? How was your experience?
