Minnesota For Sale?

Ontario Premier Doug Ford was asked about Trump's comments about making Canada the 51st state, and he said that plan is not realistic, "We’re a sovereign country. We’re proud Canadians, just like Americans are proud."

And he made Trump a counteroffer according to CP24.com, "You know something, to the president I’ll make him a counteroffer; How about if we buy Alaska and throw in Minnesota and Minneapolis at the same time?"

Minnesota is More Than a BOGO Deal

So, he’s not even interested in buying Minnesota, just Alaska? And Minnesota would simply be “added value” to the deal? Excuse me, sir, but we’re far more than just a bonus! Clearly, Minnesota offers way more than Alaska ever could.

Ford eventually walked back his comments, insisting it was all just a joke. He claimed he wasn’t serious, much like Trump has been doing lately.

How Much Money Would it Take to Buy Minnesota?

Factoring in stuff like "Gross State Product", natural resources, infrastructure, land/real estate and population value, ChatGPT estimated that to buy Minnesota one would need to come up with a whopping $3-$5 TRILLION.
