When Do Girl Scout Cookies Go On Sale in Minnesota?

Girl Scout cookie sales kick off in the coming weeks across Minnesota and Wisconsin, offering classics like Thin Mints and Caramel deLites, but two newer flavors will be retired this year.

Two Retired Girl Scout Cookie Flavors in Minnesota

In 2017, the Girl Scouts introduced their S’mores flavored cookie, and it was an instant hit, my family gets at least one box of these every year, and they don't last long. Well, stock up if you're a fan of this flavor, as 2025 will be its final year.

I'll admit that I don't think that I've had the next retired flavor. Introduced in 2021, the French toast flavored Toast-Yay cookies will also enter the cookie graveyard in 2025. RIP

Why Are They Retiring These Cookies in Minnesota?

According to CNN, the Girl Scouts haven't given a reason for the retirement of these flavors, but they do occasionally switch things up, by adding or removing flavors.

The last flavor to be retired was the Raspberry Rally cookies, they only lasted about a year before being retired, but it wasn't because of popularity, cookie lovers went nuts for these, boxes of the berry flavored cookies were selling on eBay for more than $100.

What Other Cookies Have They Retired in Minnesota?

Other retired Girl Scout cookies include Savannah Smiles, Thanks-A-Lot, Lemon Chalet Cremes, and now we can add Toast-Yay and S’mores to that list. Gone, but never forgotten.
