While light snow will linger through the weekend, the majority of heavy snowfall from this week's blizzard has come to a close. Most people across the Northland witnessed firsthand that we got a lot of snow.

Multiple places saw near 30 inches of snow in the higher elevations near Lake Superior, making for a weekend of digging out before single-digit daytime highs set in next week.

While places across the region might add a couple inches yet into the weekend, here's a look at snowfall totals from across the region from this whopper of a storm.

December 14-16 Blizzard Snowfall Totals

The Duluth National Weather Service office generated an overview map that shows estimations of how much each part of the Northland got, showing the heaviest snow over the three days of heaviest snow spanning most of the North Shore, extending down I-35.

While this does a great job of illustrating an overall look, there are some individual spots reporting higher amounts - for example, the highest-reported snowfall total was actually just outside of Duluth, not in the "24-30" area identified on the map. You can see individual town reports below.

As pointed out in the graphic above, there are still some areas that don't have precise reports. Additionally, some areas have reports that are several hours old, not showing all of Friday's snowfall in the totals. Here are the most recent snowfall totals reported by the National Weather Service as of the end of the day Friday:
