If you have ever been to any of the Disney parks, chances are you enjoyed a Dole Whip, but did you know that you can enjoy that amazing treat here in the Twin Ports?

My family recently took a trip to Disney World, and we consumed several variations of Disney's Dole Whip, but the best is always the basic soft serve pineapple or orange Dole Whip, simple, smooth, and delicious in every way.

I always assumed that Dole Whip was an exclusive Disney thing, and while the name Dole Whip may be used exclusively at Disney, Dole soft serve is served many places across the country and even sold to the public, and it's the exact same thing as a Disney Dole Whip.

One night after my daughter's soccer game, we stopped at Chilly Billy's Frozen Yogurt at the Shops at Blue Stone and to our surprise, they featured Dole soft serve (Dole Whip) both in pineapple and orange flavors. So I proceeded to fill up the largest tub possible of pineapple Dole soft serve, I think I may have mixed with a little vanilla as well, and enjoyed every bite of that frozen treat.

I can also confirm that the Chilly Billy's Frozen Yogurt located at the Miller Hill Mall also serves the Dole soft serve in both orange and pineapple. Chill Billy's has an endless selection of toppings, so unlike the Disney Parks, you can customize your Dole Whip.

You can even make your own Dole soft serve at home, Amazon sells bags of the mix that is lactose-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and Vegan friendly. You can use the mix in a home ice cream maker and use frosting bags filled with the finished product to get the signature Dole Whip look.

Here's a little history of the iconic Disney treat, That Disney Girls says in the video below that Dole Whip didn't come to the parks until 1986, which took me by surprise, as I thought it was one of the original Disney treats from the early days.
