The Tagline for The Dreadwood Haunted Forest is No Hayrides, No Escape, No Mercy. Located just outside of St.Paul in the quaint little town of Hudson Wisconsin this is one serious Halloween Attraction. For the past 10 years this non profit company has garnered volunteers to not only scare the living heck out of people but they are a charitable organization as well raising money for various charities and also collecting non-perishable food items for the local food shelf.

Dreadwood is an isolated forest in Hudson Wisconsin, no houses or cabins around and it gets very very dark. .According to their website "You may see things that disgust you. You may feel disoriented, stifled, pursued, and preyed upon. Your guide will know the way. You MUST stay with your guide. There are no side-doors or escape routes — once you have entered Dreadwood, the only way out is through."

The entire attraction is outside in the woods so they encourage everyone to dress appropriately since you could get dirty, and also to dress for the weather since depending on when you go you could be waiting in line for quite a while. In order to go on this tour they warn you ahead of time that you must be physically fit enough to go up and down a dirt trail through woods for about a half mile. It is not a light walk since the grounds are uneven and full of rocks at times.

Patrons go with a guide in groups of 8-14 people depending on your group size and customers in line and you have to hold onto a rope for safety. No kids under the age of 13 will be admitted. Unfortunately this is the final year for Dreadwood, for 2019 Dates of when they are open Click Here.
