With how strict the airlines have had to become, don't let all your holiday traveling be ruined by not planning ahead before you try to board the plane. Any kind of jelly's, gravy, or other  liquids will be confiscated including your homemade cranberry sauce.

I am not sure why someone would bring any of those items but they are off limits, and don't even think of bringing any wrapped packages on board. Even checking them in, your presents might be unwrapped when you get to your final destination.

I have never flown home for Thanksgiving, but did many times for Christmas and learned the hard way to ship the presents ahead of time. I never had them wrapped, but had on more than one occasion something be damaged or one year my luggage was lost all together. I did finally get it back the day before I was coming home.
