‘Glee’ Season 4 Changes: Chord Overstreet a Regular Again, Puck’s Half-Brother Cast
Gleeks are in for some major changes at William McKinley this fall. Chord Overstreet has been promoted to a ‘Glee‘ series regular, while Puck’s half-brother and a new love interest for Rachel Berry have been cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Trouty Mouth singer will have much more screen time during the fourth season of the hit Fox show, as Overstreet has officially signed a deal to return as a regular. THR also reports that ‘Blue Lagoon: The Awakening’ star Jacob Artist (pictured) will play Puck’s younger half-sibling, Jake Puckerman, who has a “little bit of attitude,” he said.
“… We’ll see if that gets in the way of him succeeding with the glee club,” Artist told the site. “It’ll be interesting to see how he reacts with everybody else as well to the new kind of Puckerman.”
The cast also welcomes the new addition of South African star Dean Geyer, who has been cast as Brody Weston, Rachel Berry’s new crush. “He’s definitely been through the ropes,” Geyer explained about his ‘Glee’ character. “He’s a couple years older and has done Broadway before and that’s something she really looks up to and is aspiring to. There’s room in there to be a bit of a teacher and mentor rather than a love interest, so it could go that way.”
We can’t wait! The new season of ‘Glee’ premieres on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 9 PM on FOX.
