For those of you eager to tour the beautiful historic Glensheen Estate no damage was done to the actual mansion and tours and events have, and will continue as normal.

The historic boathouse did sustain some damage though as the giant waves crashed through the temporary barrier wall sending lake rocks and lots of water surging inside the structure and the surrounding pier was damaged as well. Plus, a sitting area next to Tischer Creek washed away many chairs and clogged up the stream on the property.

A Voluntary Clean up of the Shoreline at Glensheen is scheduled for Friday November 3rd from Noon-4:00pm. They are encouraging people to dress warm and be prepared for some heavy lifting. Waders would be a great option to stay dry.
