‘Glensheen’ The Musical Is Coming Back To Saint Paul
'Glensheen' is a mystery murder musical inspired by actual events that happened in Duluth 40 years ago.
The musical will take the audience back to when the tragic event happened in 1977. Elizabeth Congdon who inherited the mansion from her father was found murdered in her own bed. Her nurse, Velma Pietila’s body was found laying on the staircase.
The musical was a big hit in 2015 and it's coming back to St. Paul’s History Theatre July 6-30. Here's how the website describes the musical's plot:
1977. An heiress, kind and generous, is found dead in her bed. Her night nurse, lying lifeless on the staircase. A robbery? A clumsy break-in? A conspiracy? A scandal! The Congdon family tragedy splashed across the headlines of every newspaper in Minnesota. But what really happened on that fateful night at the Glensheen Mansion? Whodunit?
