Grandma’s Marathon Hosting Shoe Drive

Grandma’s Marathon and presenting sponsor Toyota are hosting a shoe drive now through marathon weekend.

Shoes can be dropped off at any local Toyota dealership now through June 16th during regular business hours. Participating dealers include Kari Toyota in Superior, WI, Kolar Toyota in Duluth, MN, Iron Tail Toyota in Virginia, MN, and Ashland Toyota in Ashland, WI.

And during marathon weekend the goal will be to fill the bed of a Toyota Tundra which will be on display located in Pioneer Hall at the DECC from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, June 14, and from 10 am to 11 pm on Friday, June 15.

Goodwill Industries of Duluth will get the shoes and will assist in refurbishing and distribute the shoes for use by those in need.

“This is a perfect opportunity for race participants, spectators and community members to clean out their closets. Help us Fill the Tundra and know that you are giving back to the local community,” says David Solon, general manager of Kolar Toyota.
