The internet has no shortage of unboxing videos. From high-end electronics to collectible trading cards, you can find someone excitedly tearing into just about anything online. But nobody approaches an unboxing with quite the same enthusiasm and football-fueled energy as legendary NFL coach Jon Gruden.

Jon Gruden Brings New Energy to Unboxing Videos

Now working with Barstool Sports, Gruden has expanded his role beyond football commentary. In addition to breaking down plays and offering insights from his decades in the sport, he’s launched a series of entertaining unboxing videos. The twist? His packages usually come straight from NFL and college football programs across the country.

A Minnesota Connection with PJ Fleck and the Gophers

In his latest video, Gruden shines a spotlight on Minnesota. He enters his office with two oversized packages, one of which he dramatically says he’s “never seen before.” After slicing through the wrapping, he reveals a one-of-a-kind gift: a custom boat oar, bubble-wrapped for protection.

The oar, signed by University of Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck, features Fleck’s trademark “Row the Boat” motto and the inscription: “Coach Gruden, RTB coacher.” Alongside the oar, Gruden also received a signed Gophers helmet and an impressive collection of Minnesota gear.

Name-Dropping in True Gruden Fashion

As always, Gruden can’t resist flexing his football knowledge. Sports Illustrated counted 26 mentions of former Gophers players in this single video. He also gave nods to Minnesota icons like Ric Flair, Jessica Lange, and Brock Lesnar, blending football fandom with local pride and a dash of humor only he can deliver.

Tour Minnesota's Fanciest Mini Golf Course - The Centennial Lakes Putting Course

While they won't call it a mini golf course, it kind of is. This 18-hole course boasts all real grass playing surfaces, natural obstacles like sand traps, boulders, and water, just like a real golf course.

The whole course looks and feels like a shrunken golf course, and it plays like one, too! The holes are long! The shortest hole is 57 feet, the longest is 125 feet, and the whole 18-hole course plays 1,662 feet.

This is no ordinary mini golf course!

Take a tour.
