For all the guys who are subjected to wearing a tie to work, here is a way to stand out from the rest, with the legendary "Shelby Knot".

For anyone who lives or lived in the Twin Cities newscaster Don Shelby is a household name. He started at WCCO T.V. as a reporter in 1978 and worked his way up to evening anchor, where he stayed until he retired in 2010. Don who was known to be a very dapper dresser brought the Pratt style of tying a tie to the mainstream, and is now referred to as the Pratt- Shelby knot.

Cooper and I were discussing this on the air this morning, and we came upon this little gem of Don himself giving play by play instructions on how to do it right. Even in talking about tying a tie, this lifelong broadcaster shows his news casting chops in his delivery.
