Here’s How to See the Minnesota Wild Practice in Duluth
The Minnesota Wild are making a stop in Duluth for an open practice, here's how to watch for free.
According to Michael Russo, the Wild plan to fly in to Duluth after their final preseason game against the Chicago Blackhawks on October 9th "for a few days of team bonding and practice."
The free and open to the public practice will be on Tuesday, October 12th from 11:30 AM - 1 PM. The DECC adds that the practice is free, for now, but is subject to change, so keep an eye on their Facebook page for any changes. The daily parking fee will also be charged, and that recently got raised to $10.
This isn't the first time The Wild have made a visit to Duluth for a team practice, they were here in September 2015 before the start of the 2015 - 2016 season, that season the team finished 5th in NHL Central Division and got bounced from the playoffs in the first round by the Dallas Stars.
Just after the team visits Duluth for the practice, they'll head out to the West Coast to kick off the regular season against the Anaheim Ducks and the Los Angeles Kings on October 15th and 16th.
The UMD men's and women's hockey teams are also gearing up for a new season at the DECC and will also practice the same day as the Wild at the DECC and both UMD teams will start their seasons at home October 15th - 17th.
