Today we look back at this week in 1993 and meet Beavis and Butthead, see a successful space shuttle launch and listen to one of Lenny Kravitz's biggest hits.

The world was introduced to the dynamic duo, Beavis and Butt-head. Which was an animated series created by Mike Judge. There was a lot of commotion with this show due to it's crude humor and and implied criticism of society. The show became a cult classic and keeps getting revived.

In news headlines the STS-56 space shuttle was launched today from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This was the second attempt and the crew consisted of five people. The mission was to see how the sun's energy output and the earth's chemical makeup effect the levels of the ozone.

The first single off Lenny Kravitz's third studio album was 'Are You Gonna Go My Way'. The song has been covered by numerous bands, was featured in movies, TV shows, and video games and was even nominated for a Grammy.
