Opening up this weekend was 'The Rock' starring Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage. The film was dedicated to producer Don Simpson who passed away five months before the film's release. It was a huge success grossing over $335 million at the box office.

Blackstreet released 'No Diggity' featuring rapper Dr. Dre and Queen Pen. The song ended "Macarena"'s 14 week run as the new number one song on the Billboard Hot 100.
