October is a spooky month, with many people getting into the spirit of things. I've noticed a ton of really great Halloween decorations around town lately. The super-tall grim reaper has been seen in a lot of places. There's even a werewolf guy that is scaring the pants of people in front yards. I've seen scary clown decorations, blood and gore, and all sorts of gruesome things. Sometimes decorations may go too far, but in this case, I could not believe someone was upset about this particular display.

You can see in the picture that there are two characters in a doorway of a building. One is obviously Chucky, and the other is Regan from The Exorcist. So we have Chucky who is a murderous doll and a possessed girl.

The Halloween characters were placed in the doorway of Poplar's Village Market. It's currently being renovated to be a strip mall with different business spaces. The owner, Wyatt Nevin bought the building from his grandparents and currently doing a lot of the work on the renovation himself.

Yeah, obviously the display is based on frightening characters, but is this really that disturbing that someone would leave this message?

Someone who is speaking on behalf of the children of Poplar, Wisconsin says it's disturbing and asked that it be taken down, written on cardboard, and duct taped to the door. The owner of the building was inside working. When he came outside he noticed the sign and thought, "you've got to be kidding me!?"

What do you think? Is this really that disturbing? I've driven by dozens of places, and this one would never make me think it was too disturbing. Are kids really freaked out by this? Because if they are, they should surely not go trick or treating anywhere because this is pretty tame.
