The future of Arctic Cat has been in question since the company announced they would be shutting down their production indefinitely back in December '24.

Argo Acquires Arctic Cat In Deal
ATV manufacturer ARGO has bought Arctic Cat, which is based in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Arctic Cat and ARGO will be owned and operated separately, but the brands will work together. This means there will be a future for Arctic Cat and their snowmobiles, and other off-road products.
Who is ARGO?
ARGO is an ATV manufacturer that was founded in Ontario, Canada, in 1967. They've been known for their extreme amphibious terrain vehicles that can "go anywhere."
ARGO has divisions in Space & Robotics and has been tapped to help design a lunar rover the the Canadian Space Agency.
Why Does This Acquisition Make Sense?
Both companies target different consumer products. According to MPN, Arctic Cat machines "bring the passion on and off the trail." ARGO's machines take the adventure where the trail ends.

This news signals a big investment in Arctic Cat's brand and should clear up any uncertainty moving forward that Arctic Cat will continue. That's good news for Minnesotans in Thief River Falls and St. Cloud.
