Save the date: one of the coolest - and coldest - events in the Duluth area is back next month. The Duluth Winter Village returns December 6th and 7th.

The DECC has announced a ton of big events recently. Two country superstars are coming town - Dustin Lynch and Scotty McCreery - and this will be another huge event coming up in December as well!

Country music fan? You can kick off your winter weekend by going to the Duluth Winter Village then see the show, all on December 6th.

This is the 9th annual Duluth Winter Village. It will take place along Harbor Drive with views of Lake Superior, of course. This is a great way to get outdoors this winter, get some holiday gifts and support local!

As always, you can expect wooden shopping cabins filled with locally-made treats, hot food that will warm you right up, beverages including beer and cocktails and bonfires. There will also be carolers and family-friendly activities.

The events are indoor and outdoor so you can warm up a bit before braving the elements! The event will take place inside the DECC from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

This event has grown over the years and this year will be the best yet. The popular 'The Tinsel Tavern' will be back this year, a holiday-themed bar with all the vibes. It will be three times larger this year, which is exciting!

There will also be a portrait artist on Saturday, a 360 photo booth, indoor skating with free skate rentals and a DJ, face painting and animals. You can't forget about the 'hug-a-hen' which is exactly what it sounds like.

This is just barely scratching the surface of everything this event has to offer. I can't wait to go this year! I just can't chicken out because it's too cold, which has definitely happened in past years. Ha!
